Following the closest vote so far this year, Canadians across the country have named Fredericton the fifth winning community in this summers Kraft Celebration Tour. As part of the Kraft Celebration Tour, Fredericton receives $25,000 to put towards the Fredericton Loyalist Rugby and Cricket Clubs upgrade of their two existing fields and developing a third. Fredericton was named to the Kraft Celebration Tour after winning a national, head-to-head online vote over Salisbury, N.B. with 160,824 votes to Salisburys 134,741. Fredericton will also host a special edition of SportsCentre featuring anchors Rod Smith and Kate Beirness when they broadcast live from the New Brunswick community on Tuesday, Aug. 20 at 6pm et on TSN. The $25,000 prize money from the Kraft Celebration Tour will go towards upgrading their two existing fields and developing a third one. Canadians can decide the other winning communities for the Kraft Celebration Tour over the next week. Voting is unlimited and runs from Nnoon et each day for a 24-hour period.
