Den Bosch, Netherlands (Sports Network) - Frenchman Nicolas Mahut captured his first career ATP title with a victory over Stanislas Wawrinka of Switzerland in Saturdays final at the Topshelf Open. Mahut defeated Wawrinka, the No. 2 seed, by a 6-3, 6-4 margin at Autotron Rosmalen. The 31-year-old journeyman Mahut appeared in the third title match of his career. He was a two-time runner-up back in 2007. Mahut became the lowest-ranked winner on the ATP World Tour since March 2008 when No. 244 Kei Nishikori won the Delray Beach title. "Its amazing. I cannot believe I won today," Mahut said. "I didnt know if I was going to play again when I had some bad times with my knee. All my team helped me a lot. We worked hard and here I am with the trophy. Its a good story." The 28-year-old Wawrinka fell to 4-9 in his career finals, including 1-3 this year, with the title coming on red clay in Portugal. The 2013 Madrid Masters runner-up was seeking his first-ever ATP championship on grass. Mahut took home $93,000 with the victory. Wimbledon starts on Monday. Mahut will face Jan Hajek in the first round, while Wawrinka takes on former world No. 1 Lleyton Hewitt. Charles Oakley Knicks Jersey . Here are his mid-season NBA awards. Do you expect him to emerge into an every-down player? He wont be an every-down player, but I would expect his role to increase. The Bills placing Greg Salas on injured reserve a week ago thinned their depth, and Marquise Goodwin missing practice this week because of an illness was another blow, so Hunter is the next man up. Hes a name to monitor, but I wouldnt dive head-first into starting him just yet, especially in an offense that is still centered around running back LeSean McCooy.dddddddddddd. -- Mike RodakMiami DolphinsHow do you expect running back touches to be distributed once Arian Foster returns to the lineup? There is a solid chance Foster returns Sunday against Pittsburgh. That will surely shorten Miamis running back rotation, but dont expect Foster to get a ton of carries and production from a fantasy standpoint. Dolphins running backs are only getting 15.2 carries per game. Foster, if healthy, could get about 10 of those, while the rest will be divided between Jay Ajayi and Damien Williams. The Dolphins could be playing from behind facing Pittsburghs high-powered offense, which would reduce Miamis rushing attack. -- James Walker ' ' '
